Sharon Gold-Steinberg, PhD

headShot_sharonSharon Gold-Steinberg, Ph.D. is a fully licensed psychologist who completed her doctoral and post-doctoral training at the University of Michigan. In addition to teaching and supervising at the University of Michigan for fifteen years, Sharon has maintained an active private practice since 1995 with an emphasis on the treatment of trauma, vicarious trauma, attachment issues, anxiety, and grief. Increasingly, her practice focuses on providing consultation to other therapists and to professionals who work with traumatized populations. Her style is compassionate, interactive, strength-based and affirming. Sharon is a co-founder, with Carryn Lund, LMSW, RYT, of The Resourced Therapist, a website that provides meditations and self-paced video courses on trauma treatment as well as strategies to mitigate against the risks of vicarious trauma and burnout. Sharon has completed level I and II EMDR training and she is a certified practitioner of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, a body-oriented, talk therapy for the treatment of trauma and attachment wounding.

Carrie Hatcher-Kay, PhD

headShot_carrieCarrie Hatcher-Kay, Ph.D. is a fully licensed clinical psychologist who earned her doctorate from the University of Michigan and completed her postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan Department of Psychiatry and the Ann Arbor Center for the Family.  Carrie has particular passion for supporting people accessing innate healing and wholeness beyond identifying with wounding or injuries. Carrie completed a certificate in Psychedelic Therapy and Research from the California Institute of Integral Studies, is fully certified in EMDR, and is a Level 2 graduate of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. In addition, she integrates Internal Family Systems, family/couples therapy, polyvagal/nervous system and social systems perspectives with the power of music and movement in healing with clients, students, supervisees, and community groups. In her personal, professional, and community work, she is committed to growing awareness that addressing systemic injustice is inseparable from healing work. Her practice, leadership, and service are founded in affirming individuals’, families’, and communities’ inherent wisdom, resources, and strengths.

César Valdez, LMSW

headShot_cesarCésar Valdez, LMSW is a University of Michigan–trained psychotherapist who works with individual adults, integrating mind–body approaches within a psychospiritual framework. He specializes in working with highly collaborative clients, guiding them through transformative healing processes that support clarity, integration, and meaningful change. Clients who are engaged in a mature process of psychological and spiritual development often seek César out for his clinical precision, grounded presence, and the steady clarity he brings to the therapeutic relationship. He has been in practice since earning his social work degree in 1996. César’s credentials include Certified EMDR Therapist and Level II training through the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute. He is the Executive Director and Lead Trainer of the IADC International Institute, an organization dedicated to advancing a specialized treatment approach for grief. He previously taught at a University of Michigan–affiliated training institute and now offers consultation, workshops, and continuing education for clinicians. His international presentations include the EMDR International Association, the Association for Death Education and Counseling, the Veteran’s Mental Health Summit, and the Spiritual Guidance Wisdom School. He has also published in the area of innovative grief treatment. Across all aspects of his work, César is devoted to supporting insight, integration, and the unfolding of each person’s unique path toward wholeness.
